I am privileged to join Handsworth Grange School as Deputy Headteacher, Quality of Education. Prior to joining Handsworth Grange School, I spent 3 years working at Sheffield Park Academy, as Vice Principal, Quality of Education. Before working in Sheffield, I spent 15 years working at several schools in Chesterfield, as both a Senior and Middle Leader. I have both curriculum and pastoral experience, having served as a Head of Year in 2 different schools.
I have always chosen to work in schools in communities that face challenges and social deprivation, as this reflects my own upbringing in Sheffield. One of my core beliefs is that young people should be judged on who they are, and not where they come from. Education has the power to transform lives, and I am proud to be able to play a part in improving the lives of children at Handsworth Grange School.
