I’ve lived in Handsworth my whole life, so this community means a great deal to me. All three of my children came through Handsworth, so I understand exactly what it feels like to send a child off to secondary school for the first time. For the past five years I’ve worked at Handsworth Grange, and I genuinely love being part of the team that helps our new Year 7s settle in. Watching them arrive a little nervous and then grow in confidence over the year is one of the most rewarding parts of my job. Before joining the school, I worked as both a retail manager and a project manager. But what matters most to me now is being someone students feel comfortable approaching. Handsworth is my home, and supporting the next generation from our community is something I’m truly proud of.
I can help with:
Acting as a point of contact for parents and guardians, addressing concerns and queries and providing regular updates on their child’s progress and well-being. My role is to support and encourage my year group. Champion good behaviour, celebrate success and help my students navigate any challenges they may face.
