Congratulations to the trampolining team at Handsworth Grange Community Sports College that was declared the winner of the year 9’s section of the Next Steps Trampolining competition at Hillsborough Leisure Centre this week.

Organised by Links School Sport Partnership, The Sheffield School Games Next Steps Trampoline Competition saw over 70 teams enter from across the region.

The Sports specialist school on Beaver Hill Road submitted four teams for judging with the year 9 taking the top spot and the year 7 and 8 teams securing 8th and 12th place.

Kay Barnes, Head of Physical Education at Handsworth Grange said “What an incredible competition, I fully commend the organisers and the participants for creating a friendly, competitive, and fun atmosphere. We cannot over-emphasise the importance of sport in academics and how friendly competition can help to develop vital life skills and promote healthy and fit lifestyles. We are grateful to be a part of a Trust that provides the facilities children need to partake in sport, and a community that offer opportunities to share and compete.”
