I originally joined Handsworth as a maths teacher, before becoming subject leader for maths and then Assistant Headteacher responsible for exams, assessment, data and reports. Previously I worked as a maths teacher in Barnsley. Prior to my maths teaching career I worked in economic development, and also spent three years teaching English abroad. I studied economics at Lancaster University. Outside of work I am an avid reader and also enjoy hiking and travel.
